Off to a Great Start

Dear Betas,

Sending our oldest son off to college for the first time is without a doubt an anxious time for parents. You hope that he will adjust to the more difficult academic load, learn to juggle the many demands on his time, act wisely, and very importantly, make a home for himself with a strong group of friends. We’ve been very pleased with the choices Ben has made so far, and that most definitely includes joining the Betas. Having grown up without brothers, the opportunity to join this group has, I think, filled a void. He is thoroughly enjoying the friendships, the support, and the sense of brotherhood. My husband and I also enjoyed the opportunity to put faces to the many names Ben has talked about at the Barbecue. We were glad to meet such a great group of young men.

We have been impressed with the way the fraternity conducts itself. Fraternities so often are purely social organizations. From the fun Ben has, I know the Betas have their share of good times! But I also know there is more to your organization. It has been beneficial to Ben to be part of a group that is sincere and caring in their attitudes toward each other, actively involved in volunteering, and thoughtful and responsible in the way the chapter runs the organization. I think this young Beta chapter is off to a great start!

We wish you all good luck on your finals!
